. . . Continuing the vision of Myriam Mendilow in Israel and throughout the World
WEBSITE: www.myriamsdream.org

Today we celebrate those who imagine how life can be, and who act to turn their dreams into reality. We acknowledge Myriam Mendilow’s vision which has become a reality, and her hopes which remain unfulfilled, beckoning us to further service.

Myriam Mendilow wanted old people not to be judged by the wrinkles in their skin, but by the fire in their eyes. She dreamed of a community that could bring back to the old people the meaning and the understanding that age doesn’t mean the end of the road, that you have to sit and wait for death. But Myriam did more than hope.... she created a workplace, where the elderly could work and teach the young how to care and how to share.

Myriam challenged others to share in her dream. The dream of one petite woman became the dream of hundreds of people over several decades, people who crossed her threshold and emerged with a shared vision and the challenge to change what is to what could be.

MYRIAM’S DREAM INC., a not-for-profit corporation, in pursuit of Myriam’s vision, was founded to raise funds and awareness of the isolation of the elderly in the United States, Israel, and around the world.

Thanks to the generous support of donors, all funds raised by MYRIAM’S DREAM are distributed as grants. The needs are great and your help and support are a necessity for the future. Join with us to meet the challenge and make the promise for a better future.

"We have touched on the fringe of a huge problem. Hundreds more claim our help. We want to be able not to turn away old people who claim work. We want other cities to copy our project. We feel that charity in itself is not enough. We have a new concept of charity. Our charity means rehabilitation. " M.M.
